Kuovi's products are made from natural fibers. The colors are chemically attached to the fibers and thus do not affect the natural feel of the fabric.

Currently our main fabric is cotton and flax/linen for which we recommend machine wash in 60 ^oC, light spin and ironing up to 200 ^oC (three points in ironing symbol). Fabrics are steamed and washed in 95 ^oC before delivery to the customer.

Kuovi's biodegradable​ sponge cloths are ecologically manufactured from recycled fiber and printed with non-toxic water-based dyes which means they can be safely composted.​ Sponge cloths are made of 70% wood pulp and 30% cotton and the material passes the European standard EN-13432. You can wash a sponge cloth in 60 ^oC​ and it is easiest to do together with the dishes in a dishwasher. If you want to iron a sponge cloth, it is worth doing while it is still moist after washing. Ironing up to 150 ^oC (two points in ironing symbol)​.

In the future we are expanding our material portfolio with e.g. organic cotton, cotton jersey, silk, wool and a variety of upholstery fabrics depending on their availability.

Our fabric producer has received the BASC certification. BASC is an independent international non-profit organization dedicated to certifying lawful, humane and ethical working conditions and to fighting against drug trafficking in the world.

Global Organic Textile (GOTS)

All chemicals used in the production of our fabrics pass the requirements of GOTS classification.

Our fabric producer holds a WRAP certification which guarantees safe, healthy and decent working conditions and compliance to the environmental rules and regulations.
