Basis for Keeping the Register
Customer relationship.
Purpose of the Register
Personal data is used for managing, maintaining, developing, and marketing the customer relationship. The processing of personal data complies with the Personal Data Act.
Data Content of the Register
The register processes the following categories of information:
Basic information of the data subject, such as name, address, phone number, and email address.
Information related to billing and collection.
Information related to the customer relationship and contractual relationship, such as products and services, their date of use, and information about the service seller.
Data Sources
Personal data is collected during registration, when using services, or otherwise directly from the data subject. Personal data can also be collected and updated from the Population Register and from the prohibition registers maintained by the Finnish Direct Marketing Association, as well as from other similar registers.
Data Disclosure
Kuovi Oy may disclose customer data within the limits and obligations permitted by current legislation. Data is not transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
Register Protection
Access to the register requires a user ID granted by the customer database's main user. The main user also determines the access level granted to users. Launching the application requires a personal password. The use of the register and logins are monitored.
Data is collected into shared databases of the service, which are protected by firewalls, passwords, and other technical means. The databases are located in locked and guarded premises and only certain predefined individuals have access to the data. In Kuovi Oy's premises, where data is processed and stored, only personnel authorized to use the data are allowed to move.
Right of Inspection
The data subject has the right to inspect, according to Section 26 of the Personal Data Act, what information about them has been stored in the personal data register. The inspection request must be sent in writing and signed to the address:
